All the variety, all charm, all the beauty of life is made up of light and shadowAnna Karenina

I began drawing and painting at home and gradually these hobbies developed into a passion. In 2010 I completed the two year City Lit Fine Art Course, and in 2011 David Cranswick introduced me to the traditional painting methods and materials of the European Old Masters.  I am  fascinated by people, nature and wildlife, light and shadow, reflections and textures.   I enjoy working in a variety of mediums, my favourite being the one I am using at a specific time.  My paintings and linocuts were exhibited at the Society of Women Artists at Mall Galleries  (2014) and Salon des Refuses Summer Exhibition (2017). I was shortlisted for the Royal Society of Portrait Painters (2016), and the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (2013; 2017).

As a Nature photographer my journey started in 2014 in Abisko Park, Sweden. The beauty of the Northern Lights had a profound effect upon my senses and inner world. Lying on the snow whilst watching the skies dancing I decided, there and then, to learn to capture the Natural world with my camera. Since then I enjoy visiting remote places where most people can not go.   I feel passion for capturing forever fleeting moments of natural history and sharing them with people. I would like my images to provide a window to enable people to be there with me, and to create a conscious social awareness to protect and conserve our planet.   In 2016, I joined  the Muswell Hill Photographic Society, winning the Mike McCarthy Photographic Award for Art in Nature.  I have been shortlisted at the European wildlife photographer of the year, and have exhibited at 5 Base Gallery, Bargehouse in Suth Bank, Karamel Gallery and  Lauderdale House.
